October 2011 - Titan Makes The News

Titan's Other Vessels!
Whilst the Titan Endeavour is always making the news, Titan's other vessels; Titan Explorer, Titan Voyager and Titan Surveyor are still working very hard in the background!
The Explorer has completed work in Lowestoft, Blackpool and is currently working in the Bristol Channel. The smaller vessels have also been busy working from Milford Haven and Anglesey.
July/August 2011 - Out with old, in with the new!
Titan would like to say a big "Thank you and good luck!" to Cardiff University placement students Fergus Bradford, Will Glenn and Morgan Harries after completing their sandwich year placement. All three worked very hard during their time at Orion House leaving with a full CV of experience from their year placement. Replacing these three is Chris Whitehouse and Richard Dusgate from Cardiff and Phoebe Bailey from Southampton!
Titan Endeavour In Portugal
The Titan Endeavour completes work in Portugal having transited by sea to Figueira Da Foz to conduct a 100km long hazard clearance swathe bathymetry and sidescan sonar survey.

July 2011 - New Recruits!
Former placement student Tommy Hill returns to Titan having completed his studies at Cardiff University and obtaining a First Class BSc Marine Geography Degree.
Along with Tom, fellow Marine Geography Graduate Nick Harrington and Southampton Graduate Joshua Pike also join Titan's permanent staff.

June 2011 - Titan Endeavour Completed First Survey Successfully
The Titan Endeavour has completed its first pipeline survey with sites in the UK and abroad. The Endeavour is now heading to Scotland for Offshore Wind Farm survey work

April 2011 - The Titan Endeavour is Launched!
The Titan Endeavour has been successfully launched and has passed its sea trials. The Endeavour was mobilised and tested with full geophysical and benthic sampling equipment in Padstow and is now operational from April 2011

March 2011 - Charity Run
Gwyn Nelson, Ian Szeligiewicz and Ray Adams ran the Bath Half Marathon. A total of £415.50 was raised for Clic Sargent Children with cancer and Everyman Male Cancer Campaign.
January 2011 - New Office Officially Opened
The newly refurbished offices were officially opened on 27th January 2011 by The Welsh Minister for the Environment Sustainability and Housing, Jane Davidson. We were pleased to welcome a mix of clients and old friends, along with the local MP for Bridgend Madeleine Moon. The offices include a large workshop and storage area, complete with overhead gantry, which enables us to carry out maintenance work on our 4 boats and the associated equipment that we own.

Movember 2010
Titans team of moustache growers ‘The Tasche of the Titans’ raised over £1000 pounds for The Prostate Cancer Charity by mostly looking ridiculous for the month.

July 2010 - New Staff
James Thomas, our very own 1st Class Honours placement student from 2008-2009 has rejoined Titan as a Hydrographic Surveyor after completing his degree.
Will Glenn, Morgan Harries and Fergus Bradford joined Titan for a 1 year work placement further cementing Titans ties with Cardiff University’s Marine Geography Department.

Will Wye and Jeff Steele have successfully qualified as Yachtmasters in preparation for the arrival of MV Endeavour.

MARCH 2010 - George Eustice, Rob Millar, Ian Szeligiewicz and Edward Wilkes have all completed their RYA Shorebased Coastal Skipper and Yachtmaster Offshore theory course.
New skippers:
MARCH 2010 - Hydrographic Surveyors Alex Rudman and Matthew Ireson have successfully completed Commercial Endorsement of their RYA Advanced Powerboat certificates to join Titans growing roster of qualified boat drivers.
Staff Training - Yachtmasters:

The new 15m Powerglide Catamaran is currently being built and scheduled for arrival in April 2010.
