So, what does that mean? We collect
data - measure and survey - from the aqueous environment - the water all
around us. We conduct studies to help make your environment cleaner, more
sustainable and more manageable. Our work involves water and the sediment
underneath it - sampling it, analysing it,measuring its flow, its depth,
its cleanliness, its saltiness and the amount of suspended solids it carries.
We measure water in sewers, sumps, groundwaters, pools, ponds, lakes, reservoirs,
seas and oceans. We measure leats and launders, streams, becks and rills,
rivers, estuaries, bays, harbours and the sea around the coastline. We can
tell you what it flows over, drains into and even where it came from. We
can tell you what lies at the bottom of it - the nature and type of sea-bed
and the geology beneath it.
